After smashing the box office last year, 'Avatar The Way of Water' is now streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar in India. Giving this information on Tuesday, the platform said that the film will be available for streaming on June 7 in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi, apart from English.

However, to watch the movie on these platforms one would have to spend around Rs 850. After coming to Disney Plus Hotstar, 'Avatar the Way of Water' subscribers will be able to watch for free.

world's third-highest-grossing film

'Avatar 2' was also released in cinemas in India on 16 December. The film grossed $2.32 billion worldwide and is the third highest-grossing film in the world. Avatar is in first place with $ 2.92 billion and Avengers Endgame is in second place with $ 2.79 billion.

'Avatar 2' was nominated in several categories at this year's Academy Awards, including Best Picture. The film stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Signorie Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, and Kate Winslet.

The first 'Avatar' came in 2009

The 'Avatar' franchise started in 2009. James Cameron had announced its five parts. However, a lot will depend on the business of these films. The tremendous earning of 'Avatar 2 Way of Water' has cleared the way for its next parts.

While 'Avatar' featured a battle between Na'vi, the natives on the fictional planet Pandora, and businessmen who went to mine the earth, the story of the second part is based on the revenge of this battle. The film also featured a glimpse of the underwater world of Pandora.
