FA Cup: Manchester City beat Burnley 6-0 in the FA Cup semi-finals with Holland's second consecutive hat-trick

In-form Erling Haaland scored a hat-trick as Manchester City thrashed Burnley 6-0 to reach the semi-finals of the FA Cup football tournament. The 22-year-old striker Haaland scored five goals including a hat-trick in the Champions League last match against RB Leipzig.

 

This is Manchester City's sixth consecutive win in all competitions and during this time the club has scored 23 goals. Coach Pep Guardiola's team played in an aggressive manner in the Manchester City match. The team scored two goals in the first half, while scored four goals in the second half. Bernal's players made some attempts to come back, but they could not penetrate the City defence.

Holland's two goals in three minutes

Haaland started the scoring process in the match for City. He scored two goals in three minutes. Apart from this, Holland completed his hat-trick by scoring a goal in the second half. He scored in the 32nd, 35th and 59th minutes to give the team a strong 3-0 lead. After this, Julian Alvarez scored a goal in the 62nd minute to put City ahead 4–0.

 

City players continued to score goals even after this. Substitute Cole Palmer scored from inside the box to extend City's lead to 5–0. Palmer scored this goal in the 68th minute. Meanwhile, Palmer scored his second goal in the 73rd minute to make City's margin of victory 6–0. Burnley players continued to try to score their first goal of the match after this, but they did not get success.
