Rohit Sharma equals MS Dhoni's record for most wins in T20I as Indian Captain: Indian captain Rohit Sharma has played the best innings of his career in Ind vs Afg against Afghanistan on 17 January in Bengaluru.

 

Equaling MS Dhoni's record

By winning the Super Over in this match, Rohit has equaled the big record of MS Dhoni. Rohit has equaled MS Dhoni in terms of winning in T20. Rohit had not played many T20 matches since the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2022.

 

Returned to the series after 14 months

Meanwhile, in the Ind vs Afg series against Afghanistan, captain Rohit made a comeback in the shortest format after 14 months. In 54 T20 matches, Rohit has won 41 and lost 12. In 72 T20 matches, Dhoni has won 41 and lost 28.

 

Best innings of Rohit's T20 career

Rohit Sharma made a comeback and scored his fifth century in T20. Rohit took over the innings after India's poor start and scored 121 runs in 69 balls, which included 11 fours and 8 sixes. Also, Rohit played the best innings of his career in T20.

 

Played a stormy innings with Rinku

The captain, along with Rinku Singh, played an unbeaten inning of 69 runs in 39 balls for the fifth wicket, taking India's score to 212. In this match, Rohit had to bat not once but twice. After the score of the match was tied in 20 overs, it was played in Super Over. Rohit hit two sixes while batting in the first super over. Ravi Bishnoi brought victory to India by taking 2 wickets in the second over.
