Nuh Violence: Firing-stone pelting on the journey… By looting the bus, one and a half walls of the police station, vehicles were set on fire; Full story of ruckus

A Home Guard jawan was killed and several policemen and around 24 people were injured in stone pelting and firing during the Brajmandal 84 Corps Shobha Yatra taken out by Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Matri Shakti Durga Vahini, and Bajrang Dal on Monday. Along with the people involved in the yatra, stones were also pelted at the policemen.

 

Meanwhile, the rioters started arson. Many vehicles were vandalized and set on fire. Internet service has been suspended till Wednesday by imposing Section-144 in the entire district following communal tension. Along with this, the boundaries of the district have also been sealed.

 

Around 12 policemen were injured in the violence and eight of them were hospitalized, an official said. Among the injured, Hodal Deputy Superintendent of Police Sajjan Singh was shot in the head and an inspector in the stomach. At least four cars are seen burning in a video clip. Another video shows two damaged police cars. Gunshots can also be heard in the clip.

 

According to police officials, as soon as the yatra started from the Nalheshwar Mahadev Temple in Nalhar, a Muslim-majority town in Nuh, some youths from the community started pelting stones and raising slogans. About 24 people were injured in the uproar that lasted from noon to evening. All have been admitted to different hospitals.

 

Home guard Jawan Neeraj died due to a bullet injury. Neeraj had reached the spot with the Gurugram Police Force. Nuh district administration called a police force from other districts to deal with the situation. Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Matri Shakti Durga Vahini had announced to take out Brajmandal Yatra on Monday.

 

This yatra is being taken out for the last three years. The yatra was to start from Nuh via Firozpur Jhirka and reach the temple located in Singar village of Punhana. As soon as the procession left for Ferozepur Jhirka from Nalhad Shiv Temple in Nuh at around 1.30 pm, as soon as it reached Shaheedi Park, some youths of the community had already gathered there.

 

As soon as they came face to face, there was a dispute between the two sides. Stone pelting started in no time. Policemen accompanying the procession tried to control the situation, but the crowd went out of control. The miscreants involved in the crowd set some vehicles on fire.

 

Police fired tear gas shells, and policemen were called from neighboring districts

Police had to fire tear gas shells to disperse the unruly crowd. However, they did not show much effect. After this, the police also fired in the air. In such a situation, the crowd moved away from there and started creating a ruckus at other places in the city. An additional police force was called from Rewari, Palwal, and Gurugram to control the ruckus. About 1000 soldiers were taken to the field.

 

Bus looted, cyber police station wall demolished, vehicles broken

The miscreants looted a private bus. After fighting with the passengers in it, they got off. After this, the miscreants took the bus and reached the cyber police station at Anaj Mandi. Here, before the bus, an attempt was made to break the gate of the police station, but when it failed, the miscreants rammed into the wall of the police station and demolished it.

Along with the vehicle of a policeman standing in the police station, four private vehicles were set on fire. The miscreants also damaged the vehicles seized at the police station. Also tried to set the police station on fire. At the time of the incident, there were only three to four policemen in the cyber station, who escaped after saving their lives. They also ransacked the vehicles of the jobbers parked in the grain market.

 

Due to going viral on social media, people reached the village

As soon as the disturbance that started in the afternoon went viral on social media, a large number of people from the villages of Nuh also left for the city. This made the situation worse. The miscreants also forcibly closed the shops and misbehaved with the people on the way. He was assaulted. The miscreants set two-three shops on fire in the market.

 

Stones were also pelted at Kali temple

The miscreants also pelted stones at the Kali temple located in Nuh. Due to this, the priest of the temple was seriously injured. He has been admitted to a private hospital.

 

Nuh-Hodal road diverted

After the uproar, the Nuh-Hodal road was diverted. The market of the entire Nuh city was closed. First of all the shops in the area around Tiranga Park were closed. After that, apart from the main market of Nuh City, shopkeepers also closed other markets including Naya Bazar, Gali Bazar, and Hodal Bypass. Seeing the tension, people were hiding in their homes.

 

CM appeals for peace

Chief Minister Manohar Lal appealed to the public for peace and said that all issues can be resolved through dialogue. All the citizens should cooperate in the interest of the society and the state by following the principle of Haryana Ek Haryanvi Ek. He said that the kind of situation that has arisen in Nuh, in that situation the responsibility of every common citizen towards the society and the state increases even more. In such a situation, we should be even more sensitive while promoting any message. Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that no person is above the Constitution of the country.

 

Force doing airdrops to control the situation in Nuh: Vij

Home Minister Anil Vij said that the SP of Mewat is on leave, so I have spoken to the SP of Palwal. Along with this, talks have also been held with the DGP and Additional Principal Secretary (Home). We are providing additional police force. First of all, we have to maintain peace. The situation prevailing there has to be brought under control.

 

The force has been asked to evacuate people where they are stranded and bring the situation under control. Along with this, the situation will be brought under control by airdropping the force. CMO Palwal has also been told that those who are coming injured should be given medical facilities immediately. Some people should also be sent to the medical college. Everyone will be rescued.
