Kim presided over a meeting of the Central Military Commission of the ruling Workers' Party on Monday, news agency KCNA said. Where officials discussed major military and political tasks for this year and long-term issues related to adaptation to army build-up. During this, Kim encouraged the armed forces to 'perpetuate victorious deeds' and display 'incomparable military power'.
Discussion on operation and war practice
The members of the Central Military Commission discussed several tasks aimed at promoting transformation in the Army. Including the issue of continuously expanding and intensifying operations and war exercises, and more rigorously carrying out war preparations.
The military parade will be organized on the occasion of the 75th establishment anniversary
The meeting comes at a time when North Korea is expected to hold a military parade on Wednesday to mark the 75th founding anniversary of the Korean People's Army. Preparations are underway for a huge military parade in the capital Pyongyang.
