Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins said that he was thinking about the Super Over. SRH defeated Rajasthan Royals by 1 run in the 50th match of IPL 2024 on Thursday.

In the match played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, Sunrisers Hyderabad batted first and scored 201 runs losing three wickets in 20 overs. In reply, the Rajasthan Royals team could score 200 runs at the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the hero of Sunrisers Hyderabad's victory, who prevented Rajasthan Royals from scoring 13 runs in the last over. With this victory, Sunrisers Hyderabad team reached fourth place in the points table of IPL 2024. Cummins called it a great match and admitted that SRH did not think they had a chance of victory till the last ball.

Pat Cummins said that it did not occur to him that he would get a wicket on the last ball because he was preparing to play the Super Over.

Nitish Reddy did a great performance: Cummins

Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad made a challenging score, in which Nitish Kumar Reddy played an important role. Nitish played his best innings in T20 cricket, hitting three fours and eight sixes in 42 balls. Cummins praised the young player and said that he understood the conditions well and then started hitting the ball.

Cummins said, “Nitish Rana is fantastic. He assessed the conditions well and played his shots after settling at the crease. He sent the ball where he wanted, which is fantastic. He had a good day and bowled some good overs too.'' Sunrisers Hyderabad will play its next match against Mumbai Indians on 6 May.
