In the 50th match of IPL 2024, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Rajasthan Royals by 1-0. While chasing the target of 202 runs to win, the Rajasthan team could score only 200 runs after losing seven wickets in 20 overs. This was Sunrisers' sixth win this season and the team moved to fourth place in the points table with 10 points from 10 matches with six wins and four losses. At the same time, the Rajasthan team has 16 points. He has won eight out of his 10 matches. However, at one time the match was completely in Rajasthan's court, but two experienced bowlers who were not selected in the Indian team for the T20 World Cup, took full advantage of their experience and snatched the victory from Rajasthan.

Rajasthan had to score 27 runs in the last three overs.

Batting first, Sunrisers scored 201 runs after losing three wickets in 20 overs. Travis Head played an innings of 58 runs in 44 balls with the help of six fours and three sixes. At the same time, Nitish Reddy remained unbeaten after scoring 76 runs in 42 balls with the help of three fours and eight sixes and Heinrich Klaasen remained unbeaten after scoring 42 runs in 19 balls with the help of three fours and three sixes. In reply, at one time Rajasthan had scored 160 runs after losing four wickets in 16 overs. Then Rovman Powell and Shimron Hetmyer were at the crease. Both scored 15 runs in the 17th over of Marco Yansen. Rajasthan's score became 175 runs for four wickets. In such a situation, the equation remained at 27 runs in the last three overs, which was very little considering T20 cricket and the remaining six wickets. However, the match took a turn from here.

Yorker King's magic in the 18th over

T Natarajan, famous as the Yorker King, came to bowl in the 18th over. He gave only seven runs in this over and sent Hetmyer (13) to the pavilion. Natarajan ended his spell by conceding 35 runs in four overs and taking two wickets. After 18 overs, Rajasthan's score was 182 runs for five wickets and needed 20 runs from 12 balls to win. Then Dhruv Jurel and Rovman were at the crease. Captain Pat Cummins himself came to bowl in the 19th over and he dismissed Dhruv Jurel (1) on the very first ball of the over. Cummins gave only seven runs in this over. After 19 overs, Rajasthan's score was 189 runs for six wickets and Ashwin was with Rovman at the crease.

Bhuvneshwar did wonders in the 20th over

Rajasthan needed 13 runs on the last six balls to win. Captain Cummins handed the ball to Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who was once India's strike bowler. Ashwin took a run on the very first ball and handed the strike to power-hitter Rovman. Rowman took two runs on the second ball. Rovman hit a four on Bhuvi's third ball. Rajasthan needed six runs on the last three balls to win. After this, Powell took two runs on the fourth ball and kept the strike. Powell once again took two runs on the fifth ball. With Powell on strike on the last ball, RR needed two runs to win. Nine times out of 10, the batting team wins in this situation. However, Bhuvneshwar surprised Powell with a full toss.

Powell is out LBW on a full toss

Powell had not anticipated this at all and the ball went straight to his pad. This gamble won the match for Sunrisers. Bhuvi appealed for LBW and the umpire raised his finger. Powell also took a review, but he knew he was out. In this way, the Hyderabad team won by one run. India's Bhuvneshwar and T Natarajan bowled brilliantly in the death overs and led their team to victory. Bhuvi took three wickets for 41 runs in a spell of four overs.

Natarajan-Bhuvi was not selected for T20 World Cup team

The special thing is that both of them did not even think about the T20 World Cup. The selectors did not even pay attention to Natarajan in bowling who has been bowling well this season. He is performing brilliantly for Sunrisers in the death overs. Not only this, but at present he also has a purple cap. He has taken 15 wickets in eight matches. During this period his economy rate was 8.96. At the same time, Bhuvi has taken eight wickets in 10 matches. During this period his economy rate has been 10.18. Bhuvi was part of Team India in the 2022 T20 World Cup. At the same time, Natarajan has not played any international match for India since March 2021.
