Are these accused absconding?

The first named accused in the murder case is the mafia, Atiq Ahmed. Atiq is already lodged in Gujarat's Sabarmati Jail in other cases. At the same time, Atiq's brother Ashraf is also lodged in Bareilly jail since before the incident. Prayagraj's CJM court has sent both of them on police remand.

Atiq's wife Shaista Parveen is absconding since the incident and till now no clue could be found by the police. Along with Shaista, Mohammad Muslim was also named in the FIR. He is also absconding. Apart from this, Atiq's sister Ayesha Noori and her two daughters are also accused in the case. The police are also looking for them.

Whereas, Sabir is also absconding. Sabir is said to be a very close and trustworthy person of Atiq Ahmed. Sabir is the only person who stays with Shaista Parveen after Ateeq Ahmed and his sons go to jail. Sabir is also accused of firing Asad in the Umesh Pal murder case. It is alleged that Sabir shot Umesh Pal's gunner Sandeep Nishad.

What will happen to the absconding accused?

To understand this, we spoke to retired IPS Udit Srivastava. He said, 'This is a high-profile case. It is being discussed all over the country. In such a situation, the police will try to nab all the people involved in this murder case. Those who help the accused will also be made accused. In such a situation, the first goal of the police is to catch the accused alive. If the miscreants do any act amid this action, then the encounter starts. As happened in the case of both Asad, Ghulam, and other accused.

Udit further says, 'After the encounter of Atiq's son, it is expected that all the absconding accused in this case should surrender in the court or before the police as soon as possible. By doing this he will try to save his own life.
