In the Umesh Pal kidnapping case, the Prayagraj MP-MLA court on Tuesday sentenced former MP and mafia Atiq Ahmed to life imprisonment. In this case, the other two accomplices of the mafia have also been sentenced to life imprisonment, while Atiq's brother and other accused Ashraf have been acquitted by the court in this case.

 

Police taking Sabarmati Jail

Preparations started on Tuesday night to take Atiq from Prayagraj to Sabarmati jail under the strict supervision of Prayagraj police. The police force is going to Sabarmati Jail with Atiq, on the way, Atiq's convoy was stopped at Anantpura police station in Kota for some rest and breakfast, and water.

During this, a large number of police forces were seen deployed near Atiq's Vajra vehicle. When the mafia got out of the car, there was despair on their face. He sought help from the police to get down from the car. He got down from the car with the help of a policeman standing nearby. The policemen took him inside the police station. There he sought permission for routine. When he went inside to use the toilet, the police personnel refused to lock him inside. Disappointment could be seen on Atiq's face at the Anantapura police station.

 

Sabarmati will reach by evening

The road from Kota to Sabarmati is about 600 km. Atiq's convoy may take till evening to reach Sabarmati Jail. During this, Prayagraj police are keeping an eye on him with strict promptness.
