The results for the Uttar Pradesh Board’s Class 10 and 12 examinations are set to be declared soon. Millions of students who appeared for these exams are eagerly awaiting their results. While many students will secure good marks, there will inevitably be some who may feel disappointed due to receiving low scores or failing in one or two subjects. In such situations, there is no need to panic, as students have several avenues available to improve their performance and move forward.
Scores Lower Than Expected: The Option of Rechecking or Re-evaluation
If students feel that their scores are lower than anticipated or suspect an error in the evaluation process, they can apply for the rechecking or re-evaluation of their answer sheets. This offers the possibility of an improvement in their marks.
Failed in 1 or 2 Subjects / Low Scores: A Chance to Improve via Compartment Exams
If a student fails in one or two subjects, they can appear for a compartment examination. This provides an opportunity to retake the exams in those specific subjects, pass them, and save an academic year. Applications for these exams typically open immediately after the results are published, and the examinations are conducted in July.
Failed in 3 or More Subjects: Continue Studies Through Open Schooling
If a student fails in three or more subjects, they are deemed to have failed the entire academic session and will not be promoted to the next grade. In such a scenario, they will be required to retake the examinations for all subjects the following year.
For students who do not wish to continue their studies through a regular school system, open schooling serves as an excellent alternative. Through this mode, they can prepare for their exams from home and successfully clear their board examinations.
Skill-Based Courses: Another Excellent Option
If a student prefers not to retake the board examinations, they can opt for skill-based courses or diploma programs. Courses such as ITI, Polytechnic, Graphic Designing, Photography, and Digital Marketing can prove instrumental in building a successful career.
Career Counseling: A Beneficial Step
If students feel uncertain or confused regarding their future path, seeking the assistance of a career counselor can be a wise decision. Experts can provide guidance and point you in the right direction, aligning your choices with your specific interests and aptitudes.
