Light rain may occur in many states of North India on Friday and Saturday. The weather pattern changed in Delhi-NCR from the early hours of Friday. Light rain accompanied by strong wind occurred in many areas of Delhi-NCR. There may be light rain in UP, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and Jharkhand. It has been told by the Meteorological Department that two to three western disturbances will come over the mountains of North India this week. Due to this, there is a possibility of light rain in UP, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and other states. On the other hand, a yellow alert has been issued for thunderstorms, hailstorms, and rain in the plains and mid-mountain areas.

 

Weather patterns changed in Delhi

The weather pattern changed in Delhi from the early hours of Friday. The sky turned dark with moderate cold winds blowing and light rain is lashing many areas. The cloud has taken hold of the sky. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, there is also a possibility of a strong thunderstorm accompanied by a hailstorm in Delhi during the day.

Thunderstorm alerts in these 12 states

There are chances of thunderstorms with strong thunderstorms in Punjab, Delhi, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Bihar, UP, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for these states. At the same time, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Kerala, and Jammu and Kashmir have also been asked to be careful about strong winds with thunderstorms.

 

Chance of drizzle and light rain for two days in Haryana

Due to the effect of the western disturbance in Haryana too, there was a slight change in the weather late on Thursday night. There is a possibility of wind and light rain in some places in the state on Friday and Saturday. Agricultural meteorologists of HAU have advised to stop irrigation and spray for two days because of the changing weather. After this, the weather will remain changeable on Sunday, and from March 15, the weather is expected to be generally dry and clear.

 

Rain, and snowfall in Kashmir for the second day, cloudy in Jammu

The process of rain and snowfall continued in Kashmir for the second day on Thursday. In most of the districts of Kashmir, the day temperature has increased by 5-8 degrees below normal. In many districts, the day temperature has gone below 10 degrees. It remained cloudy throughout the day in many districts of the Jammu division, but the heat also remained intact. The Meteorological Center Srinagar has warned of heavy rain and snowfall in parts of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday as well. During this, a possibility of a landslide has been raised, due to which the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway may be hit.

 

Thunderstorms and hail are likely in UP for two days

In UP too, the weather is ready to turn once again. Amidst the fluctuating temperature, people were troubled by strong winds throughout the day on Thursday. The wind speed was 15 km per hour. Due to this, the day temperature fell and the night temperature increased. According to meteorologists, there may be light rain with thunder on Friday and Saturday.

 

Snowfall on high peaks of Pangi including Rohtang, yellow alert even today

High peaks of Pangi including Rohtang received fresh snowfall on Thursday amid a yellow alert in Himachal Pradesh. The weather remained clear in the plain districts. Due to sunshine, the maximum temperature of the state recorded an increase of three to four degrees from normal. On Friday also, a yellow alert has been issued for the thunderstorm, hailstorms, and rain in the plains and central mountainous areas of the state. There is a forecast of bad weather in the entire state till March 14. There is a possibility of clear weather in the state till March 15-17.

 

Higher peaks including Rohtang Pass received light snowfall on Wednesday night and Thursday morning. Snowfall was recorded at 20 cm at Rohtang Pass, 15 at Koksar, and five cm at the North Portal and South Portal of Atal Tunnel Rohtang. At present, the administration has kept Atal Tunnel Rohtang closed to tourists because of bad weather.

There is a possibility of rain with a strong wind in many areas of Bihar. The areas where rain alert has been issued include West Champaran and East Champaran districts. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for rain in many areas on March 12-13.

 

Chance of rain in five divisions of Madhya Pradesh

Light rain occurred in some parts of Madhya Pradesh on Thursday. According to the Meteorological Department, it is expected to rain in five divisions of the state on Friday. PK Saha, Senior Meteorologist, Bhopal Center of the India Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of rain at different places in Gwalior, Chambal, Jabalpur, Bhopal, Hoshangabad and Sagar divisions of the state in the next 24 hours.

 

He told that the hill tourist destination Panchmarhi in Hoshangabad district, Jabalpur and Chhindwara districts received light rain on Thursday. Guna district of Gwalior division recorded 12 mm of rain. Saha said that due to cyclonic pressure in the upper air over southeast Madhya Pradesh and upper air circulation over west Rajasthan, there has been drizzling. He said that such weather may continue in Madhya Pradesh till Sunday.
