There was a partial change in the weather in most parts of North India. In Punjab's Gurdaspur and Pathankot, the wheat crop was spread in the fields due to a hailstorm on Wednesday night, while there was light rain in some parts of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Muzaffarpur in Bihar has also received hailstorms along with rain.
The temperature drops due to rain in UP
It has been raining since this morning in many cities, including the capital of UP, Lucknow, due to which the temperature has dropped by five to seven degrees. The Meteorological Department has predicted partly cloudy sky and rain in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, and UP for the next five days. Scattered on the 20th and 21st while light rain may occur for the rest of the day.
Three factors responsible for climate change
Mahesh Palawat, Vice President, of Skymet Weather said that three factors are responsible for this change in weather. Western Disturbance is active over the mountains, so an axial line from Rajasthan is moving toward Maharashtra. Apart from this, the collision of the moisture-laden winds blowing at the lower level and the dry westerly winds blowing at the middle level is also a major reason for this change in the weather.
relief from heat
Mahesh Palawat told that during these five days, there will be some respite from the heat, and there will be some fall in the temperature, but from March 22, the temperature and heat will start rising again. Dr. PK Kingra, Head of the Meteorological Department of Ludhiana-based Punjab Agricultural University, said that because of the possibility of bad weather, instructions have been issued to the farmers not to irrigate the wheat crop. Radheshyam Sharma, director of the Jaipur Meteorological Centre, said that due to the Western Disturbance in the state, there will be light to moderate rains along with thunderstorms. Hail may also fall.
