On the International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrant against Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russia said in its statement that it does not matter to us from a legal point of view, as it withdrew from the ICC treaty in 2016. Rejecting the warrant, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Russia is not a member of the Rome-based International Criminal Court and is not bound to abide by its rules. Meanwhile, former Russian President and Deputy Chairman of Russia's Security Council Dmitry Medvedev has compared the ICC's arrest warrant against Putin to toilet paper.
