The team will play a series of three ODIs and five T20 matches on this tour. Ganguly said that the team going on this tour will not include star players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, as both the players will be preparing for the five-match Test series against England at this time. Shikhar Dhawan: Opener Shikhar Dhawan's name tops in the race to become the Indian captain on this tour. Dhawan was named the vice-captain of the team during the Asia Cup in 2018.
