After this, the Captain had said that at that time he was thinking of joining the BJP.

Farmers have been agitating on the Delhi border for almost a year. The Captain gave full support to the farmers' movement as the Chief Minister. He also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi to demand the return of the law. Sidhu and Congress high command were attacked after leaving the chair
The Captain had said that he had to leave the Chief Minister's chair in humiliation. After this, he made a big attack on Sidhu. Describing Sidhu as an anti-national, he announced that he would not allow him to become the CM of Punjab. Will field strong candidates to prevent Sidhu from winning.
