Why are we so afraid

to fall in love?

Is it the hurt, the heartbreak,

or not being enough?

Why are we so afraid

to even try?

To take a risk, to jump

to soar, to fly?

But in this lifetime

I can’t seem to say

I’ll find someone for me,

I’ll find someone who’ll stay.
