A bench of Justices MR Shah and Aniruddha Bose on Wednesday, while hearing a petition expressing concern over 1,450 postgraduate medical seats vacant this year despite a shortage of medical professionals in the country, asked the Center to rest with the future of doctors. are playing. The court has asked why these seats were not filled by conducting additional mop-up counseling rounds. Along with this, taking a tough stand, the top court has also warned that it may consider ordering compensation to the government for playing with the lives and future of doctors. The bench said that if even a single seat is vacant, it should be filled and not allowed to go to waste... The top court also expressed displeasure over the lack of representation from the central government at the hearing.
