
The woman saint who reached the temporary office of Maha Kumbh Mela Adhikari situated on Triveni Marg in Parade with her disciples on Thursday afternoon created a ruckus. She also scuffled with the staff of the Mela Adhikari. During this, she also took away the official mobile of Mela Adhikari Vijay Kiran Anand.
Two people have been taken into custody in this case. Angered by this, hundreds of saints and sadhus of the Akhara reached Parade police station. On being warned of a sit-in, the police released the people who were taken into custody. Later, the Mela Adhikari's mobile was returned. The entire incident has been recorded in the CCTV camera.
Got into an altercation with the employee
It is being told that at around 2 p.m., a woman saint belonging to the Akhara reached the Mela Adhikari's office. In his absence, she got into an altercation with his employee Sunil Kumar. Seeing this, employee Karan tried to convince the woman saint, but she started scuffling.
The saint ran away with the Mela Adhikari's mobile
On hearing the commotion, employees of other officers' offices situated nearby also came. When they were somehow convinced, she quickly went out with Mela Adhikari's mobile lying with the employee. Two of his disciples were caught by the employees and handed over to the police.
They were released after a warning.
When they were taken to Parade police station, a large number of sadhus and mahatmas gathered there. They started threatening to stage a sit-in. The information was given to the higher authorities. Parade police station inspector Vijay Kumar Rai said that both of them have been released on the instructions of the officers.
Mahant Himmat Giri, who had come to take a bath in the Ganga, passed away
Mahakumbh Nagar. Mahant Himmat Giri, who was admitted to Swarooprani Nehru (SRN) hospital, passed away on Thursday. He was admitted on January 17 after suffering from chest pain. Doctors say that he had pneumonia in both lungs. The sannyasis accompanying him took his body to Rishikesh in the afternoon for burial.
He was admitted to the ICU.
Mahant Himmat Giri had come to the Mahakumbh Mela area and had a Makar Sankranti bath. Two days later, he suffered from chest pain. He was referred from the Mahakumbh Hospital to SRN Hospital. On 17 January, he was admitted to the ICU, and treatment was started. Medical College media spokesperson Dr. Santosh Kumar Singh said that Himmat Giri had a chest infection.
Death on Thursday
He had pneumonia and septic shock in both lungs. Himmat Giri breathed his last in the hospital at 10 am on Thursday. The disciples who were taking care of him gave the information to the ashram. In the afternoon, the doctors of the anatomy department applied a special coating on the dead body, so that there was no change in the body.
