Both places are built on the banks of river Yamuna. Apart from this, there is also a discussion that the memorial of the former PM can also be built near Sanjay Gandhi's Samadhi Sthal and former PM Narasimha Rao's Samadhi Ekta Sthal. However, the government has to decide this.
The Congress accused the central government of not providing a proper and respectable place for the last rites of the country's first Sikh Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The Congress demanded that the last rites should have been performed at a place where his memorial could be built later. Regarding this, Union Minister JP Nadda had said that the central government has allotted a place for Manmohan Singh's memorial and has also informed his family about it. For this, the land has been seen near the National Memorial Sthal, the place designated for the cremation of the President, Vice President, and Prime Ministers, the memorial of former PM Chaudhary Charan Singh Kisan Ghat, near the Samadhi of Sanjay Gandhi. Along with this, a memorial is also being considered near PV Narasimha Rao's Samadhi Ekta Sthal.
