Heavy rains in many states of the country have increased the trouble of the people. Due to heavy rains in Gujarat, low-lying areas of many districts have been submerged. The search for seven people who were swept away along with a tractor-trolley while crossing a submerged bridge in Morbi district is underway.
Many villages of Gujarat and Saurashtra were affected by floods
23 gates of Sardar Sarovar Narmada Dam have been opened. Three deaths including a woman have been reported in the last 24 hours. Apart from Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Surat, and Rajkot, many villages in South Gujarat and Saurashtra are affected by the rains.
Centre assures help to Gujarat government
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has assured Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel of all help from the central government. According to data from the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC), the highest rainfall of 356 mm was recorded in Khergam of Navsari district in the last 24 hours till 6 am on Monday.

A mother and two children went missing after being swept away by the strong current of water due to a cloudburst in Kumate, Dharamman, and Halla Panchayats under Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday. Three vehicles were also washed away due to the sudden rise in the water level of the drain. Two government buildings and several houses were badly damaged.
