The speed of the second wave of Corona in the country seems to be decreasing. Between last week ie 10 to 16 May, 23.02 lakhs infected were identified. This figure is the lowest in the past 3 weeks. Earlier, between April 26 to May 2, 26.13 lakhs were infected and between May 3-9, 27.42 lakhs were identified.

However, the death toll has increased the concern of the government and the people. Last week, 28,266 people died due to corona. This figure is the highest in the world in one week of deaths. Earlier in the US between January 11 and 17, 24,282 people died.

2.81 lakh new cases in 24 hours

Corona was confirmed in 2 lakh 81 thousand 683 people in the country on the previous day. This is the first time in the last 26 days when less than 3 lakh new infections have been identified in a single day. Earlier on April 20, 2.94 lakh new cases of Corona were reported.

At the same time, 4,092 people also died on Sunday. It is a matter of relief that during this time 3 lakh 78 thousand 388 people also beat Corona. This is the second-highest number of people recovering in a day. Earlier, on May 8, 3.86 lakh people had recovered from Corona.

Corona Updates

1. Maharashtra

2. Uttar Pradesh

3. Delhi

4. Chhattisgarh

5. Gujarat
