
Jaipur, Jan 12 (IANS) The Rajasthan government will organise an international kite festival here Jan 13 and 14, a tourism department official said Monday.
"The festival will be organised on the occasion of Makar Sankranti at the Chitrakoot Stadium in Jaipur from 11 a.m.," a tourism department official told IANS.
The event will be organised under the public private partnership (PPP) mode.
Many international kite flyers from the US, Canada, Britain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia will show their skills.
The kites measure up to 4-5 metres, and have various shapes like dragons, birds, fish and other geometrical designs, the official said.
Kite flyers from across India will also bring their colourful creations to fill the skies of Jaipur.
