New Delhi, Jan 16 (IANS) No reduction has been made in the number of tickets available for public for the Republic Day parade, the defence ministry said Friday.
Its clarification came in wake of reports that the number of seats have been reduced due to security concerns around the visit of US President Barack Obama who is the chief guest this year.
"The tickets for Republic Day Celebrations - 2015 are available at the designated sale counters set up by ministry at different locations in Delhi. The total number of tickets available for the general public this year is the same as last year," a ministry statement said.
Around 32,000 tickets have been put on sale for general public for the Republic Day parade at designated counter around Delhi, and will be available till Jan 25, it said, adding tickets are still available.
