Swine flu toll rises in Bengal

Kolkata, Feb 20 (IANS) An eight-year-old patient has died due to swine flu here, taking the toll to three in West Bengal, an official said Friday.

"He was the last of the critical patients and was on ventilation in B.C. Roy Hospital here. He died Thursday night. Three swine flu deaths have been reported so far in the state," Health Secretary Moloy De told IANS.

All the three deaths have occurred in Kolkata.

At least 42 cases of swine have been reported so far in West Bengal, De said.
