Welspun Corp Bags Biggest-Ever ₹17,200 Crore Order; Shares Soar Over 12%

Shares of Welspun Corp surged more than 13% in Friday's trading session after the company announced its largest-ever single order worth $1.8 billion, or approximately ₹17,231 crore.

 

The order will be executed through Welspun Corp's US manufacturing operations between the financial years ending March 2028 and March 2029. Following the announcement, investor interest in the stock increased sharply.

Welspun Corp Share Price Rises Over 13%

 

On the NSE, Welspun Corp shares climbed 13.45% to ₹2,286.40 during Friday morning trading.

 

The strong rally came after the company disclosed the record pipe-supply contract through an exchange filing. The order is the largest single contract secured by the company so far.

 

Chairman Balkrishan Goenka leads Welspun Corp, which is part of the Welspun Group.

 

$1.8 Billion Order Takes Order Book to Record High

 

Welspun Corp said the new contract will be executed between FY2028 and FY2029. The company has not disclosed the identity of the customer or details regarding the quantity and specific types of pipes involved.

 

Following the order win, Welspun Corp's global order book has reached a record $4.4 billion.

 

The company said the contract significantly strengthens its order book and provides revenue visibility for several years, while also highlighting the scale and execution capabilities of its operations.

 

US Emerges as Welspun Corp's Key International Market

 

The United States is Welspun Corp's largest market outside India.

 

For the financial year ended March 2026, the US contributed 27.2% of the company's revenue, while India accounted for 71.7%. Other international markets contributed the remaining 1.1%.

 

The large US order therefore further strengthens the company's position in one of its most important overseas markets.

 

Welspun Corp Stock Gains 19% in Five Sessions

 

The company's shares have been on a strong upward trajectory. The stock has gained around 19% over five consecutive trading sessions.

 

It has also recovered approximately 78% from its 52-week low of ₹107.40 recorded on March 30, 2026.

 

The latest order announcement has further boosted investor sentiment around the company's growth prospects and future revenue visibility.
