iOS 27.2 Update: 14 New iPhone Features Coming, Including Health Age and 5 New Siri Languages

Posted on 6th Oct 2026 12:09 pm by rohit kumar

Apple is preparing iOS 27.2, its next major iPhone software update, with a redesigned Health app, new Siri AI languages, CarPlay Ultra customization, Apple TV improvements, privacy changes and several smaller interface updates. The update is currently in beta, so some features could change before Apple releases the final version.

Apple released the third developer beta of iOS 27.2 on October 5, 2026, indicating that development is progressing. The company has not yet announced an exact public release date.

Here are the 14 biggest features and changes currently associated with iOS 27.2.

1. Redesigned Health app

The Health app is receiving one of the biggest changes in iOS 27.2.

Apple has redesigned the app around three main areas, including Insights, Longevity and Browse. The new interface is designed to make health information easier to understand while bringing more personalized information to the user.

The Insights section can surface information about areas such as sleep, heart health, fitness, vitals and readiness.

2. Health Age and Longevity insights

One of the most notable additions is Health Age, available within the Health app's Longevity experience.

Health Age compares a user's health metrics with their chronological age. Apple says the feature can consider data such as VO₂ max, resting heart rate, sleep and heart-rate variability (HRV). Users can also add certain laboratory information to provide a broader picture.

However, Health Age should not be interpreted as a medical diagnosis or an exact measurement of biological age.

3. iPhone camera-based fitness assessments

iOS 27.2 is also expected to make fitness assessments more accessible.

Apple has introduced at-home movement evaluations that use the iPhone camera and Apple Watch to assess areas including flexibility, strength, balance, movement mechanics and VO₂ max. Apple says the experience runs on-device and does not record, store or share video from the assessment.

This could make basic fitness and movement assessments easier to perform without visiting a specialist for every evaluation.

4. Anniversary reminders during calls

A smaller but potentially useful feature discovered in the iOS 27.2 beta is an anniversary reminder that can appear when contacting someone on an important date.

The feature is designed to help users remember personal occasions without requiring them to manually check their calendar before making a call.

Because this is a beta feature, Apple could modify its behavior before the final release.

5. Custom themes for CarPlay Ultra

CarPlay Ultra is also receiving additional customization options.

Beta findings indicate that users will be able to personalize elements of the CarPlay Ultra interface with different themes, wallpapers and gauge styles.

This could give drivers more control over the appearance of their in-car display.

6. Siri AI gets five additional languages

Siri AI is expanding its language support.

Apple has confirmed that support for French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish is coming to Siri AI.

The expansion should make Apple's new AI-powered Siri available to more users, although availability can vary by region, language and device.

7. Apple TV profiles and stronger parental controls

iOS 27.2 also brings changes related to the Apple TV experience.

The update is expected to make it easier to manage profiles and parental controls, giving different members of a household more personalized experiences and helping parents manage age-appropriate content.

8. Sign-language support on Apple TV

Accessibility is another area receiving attention.

Beta findings indicate that Apple is adding sign-language-related support to the Apple TV experience. The feature could make Apple's television platform more accessible to deaf and hard-of-hearing users.

9. Interpreter support in FaceTime

iOS 27.2 is also expected to bring Interpreter functionality into FaceTime.

The feature could help people communicate across language barriers by providing interpretation during supported conversations.

This would be particularly useful for international calls, travel and multilingual families.

10. Smaller AM/PM labels in the Clock app

A small visual change is coming to the Clock app.

The AM and PM labels are expected to appear smaller, creating a cleaner appearance while keeping the existing time information easy to read.

It is a minor change, but it demonstrates Apple's focus on refining individual interface elements.

11. New Apple Music appearance options

Apple Music users could also receive a new visual customization option.

Beta reports indicate that black accents are being added to the Music app, providing another option for users who prefer a darker or more minimalist appearance.

12. Exclude multiple apps from Siri

Privacy controls are another important part of iOS 27.2.

The update is expected to make it easier for users to exclude multiple apps from Siri-related data access at once.

This gives users greater control over which apps can interact with Siri's system-level intelligence and information.

13. Podcasts improvements

Apple is also refining the Podcasts experience.

The iOS 27.2 beta includes changes to New Episodes and Continue Playing, making it easier to discover recently released episodes and return to content that was previously being played.

For frequent podcast listeners, these changes could make the app more convenient to navigate.

14. Expanded tracking prompts in the European Union

Privacy is one of the more significant confirmed changes in iOS 27.2.

Apple's developer release notes say that App Tracking Transparency is gaining an alternative expanded prompt and annual re-prompting for EU users. Apple says the alternative prompt is required in France, Germany, Italy, Poland and Romania.

The change is designed to provide users with additional information and control over app tracking.

When will iOS 27.2 be released?

Apple has not announced an official public release date for iOS 27.2 yet.

As of October 6, 2026, Apple has released iOS 27.2 beta 3, which was made available to developers on October 5.

Apple's current beta cycle means the final version is still being tested. Recent reporting suggests that iOS 27.2 could arrive sometime after the October 23 launch of the iPhone Duo, although this is not an official Apple release date.

Therefore, readers should avoid claims that iOS 27.2 has already been released or that Apple has confirmed a particular public-release date.

Which iPhones will get iOS 27.2?

Apple's final compatibility list should be confirmed when the public update is released. Users should also note that some iOS 27.2 features require Apple Intelligence-compatible hardware, while Health Age requires an Apple Watch. Apple says some features may also vary by region and language.
