One dead, three injured as truck rams car in Delhi

New Delhi, Feb 5 (IANS) A 22-year-old student was killed and three others were injured when a speeding truck hit the car in which they were travelling Thursday, police said.

The crash took place around 5.30 a.m. in west Delhi's Alipur area.

Police said the dead and the injured were travelling in their i10 car when the speeding truck coming from behind hit their vehicle and sped away.

All the four injured in the crash were rushed to a nearby hospital where Abhishek, a graduate in hotel management, was pronounced dead. His three friends, also graduates in hotel management, are being treated.

Police said Abhishek was a resident of west Delhi's Patel Nagar area.
