Amsterdam. Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte has set an example for all the leaders of the world which is being discussed a lot. PM Mark's mother had been ill for a long time and her doctors had also said that it is not possible for her to escape. But Mark did not go to meet them even at the last minute, following the rules of lockdown applied due to Coronavirus in the country. After the relaxation of the lockdown, Mark went to meet his mother but he died the same night.

A spokesman for the Netherlands Prime Minister's Office said that Mark died the night he visited the ailing mother. The spokesperson said that she was ill for a long time, but following the rules of PM lockdown, she could not go to meet him. Mark announced last Monday that his 96-year-old mother had passed away on 13 May. Mark had clarified that his mother died after a long illness, not a corona infection.

PM could not live with mother in last days

According to a report published in the Guardian, Mark is deeply saddened for not being with his mother in the last days. However, when he was asked about this, he only said that the laws are equally applicable to everyone, even if he is a PM. PM Mark's mother was living in a care home and according to the lockdown rules, visiting the care homes was completely banned.

The Prime Minister's Office has also confirmed that doctors were informed by the doctors about the deteriorating condition of the mother, but they did not think it appropriate to violate the law. Mark announced the death of the mother and said that there is nothing sad that we could not spend the last moments with them. Let us tell you that more than 45,000 cases of infection have been reported in the Netherlands so far, while more than 5,800 people have died from it.
