Rajpal Yadav surrendered before the court on February 5, 2026, in a ₹9 crore check bounce case. He was subsequently imprisoned in Tihar Jail. He was granted interim bail after paying approximately ₹2.5 crore.

Rajpal's wife spoke about legal battles

After his release from jail, Rajpal Yadav and his wife Radha spoke about their legal battles and the support they received from industry figures in a recent interview. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Rajpal said that the most difficult time for him was being away from his family.

 

 

Rajpal Yadav's wife, Radha, said about this legal battle that every possible legal and honorable option was considered. Sometimes a solution isn't just a matter of willingness; it also depends on time.

When will the next hearing in the Rajpal Yadav case take place?

At present, Rajpal Yadav has repaid Rs. 2.5 crore out of the Rs. 9 crore loan. The next hearing in this case will be on March 18th. He took a loan of Rs. 5 crore a decade ago, which later grew to Rs. 9 crore with interest and penalties.
