PM Modi in dialogue with DM of 54 districts of the country on Corona - Children, youth will have to prepare for the future

Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Narendra Modi) today interacted with 54 districts across the country regarding the condition of the coronavirus in the country. PM Modi today held a virtual meeting with DMs of 54 districts of the 10 states most affected by Corona. In this meeting, the latest situation of Corona infection in these districts and control over them was discussed. PM Modi interacted with DMs and field officers from 10 states - Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh


During this, PM Modi said that the coronavirus has made your work more demanding and challenging. We need new strategies and solutions amidst new challenges. Using local experiences becomes important and we need to work together as a country.


PM Modi said that your fieldwork, your experiences, and your feedback help us to formulate effective policies. We are also going ahead with the suggestions given by the states and other stakeholders to strategize the vaccination campaign.


PM Modi said that the Health Ministry has been providing information about the vaccine to the states for 15 days. The vaccine supply will help you manage the vaccination timeframe. PM Modi said that the issue of vaccine wastage. Not wasting a single dose means not being able to mold life. It is important to stop wasting the vaccine.


During this, PM Modi said that apart from saving lives, our priority is also to keep life easy. There should be facilities for free ration for the poor, there is another essential supply, there is a ban on black marketing, all these are also necessary to win this battle, and it is also necessary to move forward.


PM Modi said that due to virus mutation between the second wave, now more concern is being expressed for the youth and children. The way you have worked in the field has helped prevent this concern from becoming serious, but we have to be ready for the future.


On May 18, PM Modi had a meeting with 46 DMs from nine states. For the first time during the Corona transition, the Prime Minister is communicating directly with the DM. In the first wave, Home Minister Amit Shah or Union Home Secretary used to communicate with the DM of NCR. Now the Prime Minister is talking to the DM about the preparations for the second wave and the third wave.


Mamta Banerjee also participated in the meeting


West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee also joined the meeting convened by PM Modi today. In this meeting, the Chief Secretary, Health Secretary, DM of nine districts of West Bengal also participated in the virtual meeting.


Suggestion to establish Corona Command Center in every district


A think tank under the Department of Science and Technology has suggested that Corona Command Center should be set up in every district which is equipped with the necessary infrastructure and human resources. So that information can be exchanged between the villages and the two sides. According to the suggestion of The Technology Information Forecasting and Assessment Council, it will help maximize the resources and data available for other scientific purposes. According to the Council, the Corona Command Centers of all the districts should be connected to the Corona Command Center of the state which would be the information repository center of the entire state. Likewise, all state Corona command centers must be connected to the central Corona command center.
