Defense Parliamentary Committee Meeting: There was a big uproar in the meeting of the Parliamentary Committee related to Defense today. According to sources, during the meeting, the displeasure of the members was seen regarding the demand for a discussion on the Agnipath scheme. Opposition MPs alleged that they were not allowed to discuss the Agneepath scheme.

 

BSP MP Danish Ali raised the issue of the Agneepath scheme in the meeting. The BSP MP had demanded to include this issue in the agenda of the parliamentary committee meeting. Congress MPs also supported this demand of BSP MP. After the demand was not accepted, these MPs walked out of the meeting.

 

Delhi High Court to hear on Agneepath

 

Apart from this, on the other hand, the Delhi High Court on Wednesday said that it will hear on August 25 a bunch of petitions challenging the Agneepath scheme for recruitment in the armed forces, as it is yet to receive the file transferred by the Supreme Court. remains.

 

 

Supreme Court transfers pending petitions

 

A bench of Justices Satish Chandra Sharma and Subramaniam Prasad was informed by Solicitor General Tushar Mehta that the apex court had transferred all the petitions pending before it challenging the scheme here on July 19.

 

The top court had asked the Kerala, Punjab, Haryana, Patna and Uttarakhand High Courts to either transfer or adjourn all the PILs filed before them against the scheme to the Delhi High Court till the Delhi High Court decides. Doesn't listen
