The Delhi Disaster Management Authority has announced several new restrictions on Tuesday amid increasing cases of coronavirus infection in the country's capital Delhi. Under this, all private/private offices in Delhi will remain closed, and work from home will be given preference. In the new guideline issued by DDMA on Tuesday, it has been said that all private/private offices will be closed except the offices connected with essential services. Its purpose is to reduce the threat of corona as well as its expansion.
In the latest order of DDMA on Tuesday, it has been said that all private/private offices will be closed in Delhi except those falling in the exempted category. In such a situation, work from home will be followed. All restaurants and bars will remain closed and an order allowing takeaway has also been issued. Till now restaurants were allowed to operate dine-in facilities from 8 am to 10 pm at 50 percent of their seating capacity. Similarly, the bar was also allowed to open from 12 noon to 10 pm with a 50 percent seating capacity. Apart from this, only one weekly market will be allowed in each zone of the Municipal Corporation every day.
With this, the DDMA has instructed the officials to ensure that the norms of physical distance and wearing of masks in the markets are followed at all costs to stop the increasing cases of the corona.
Earlier on Monday, some participants of the DDMA meeting proposed that the restrictions imposed in Delhi should be extended to the National Capital Region because of the smooth movement of people between the cities of Delhi NCR. At the same time, according to an official present in the meeting, experts and officials of the Delhi government also discussed reducing the seating capacity in metro and buses from 100 percent to 50 percent. However, there were differences of opinion with the authorities on the issue citing heavy rush at bus stands and metro stations.
