Coronavirus: American experts told hospitals to avoid using hydroxychloroquine, Trump told game changer

Washington. US agency Donald Trump has called the malaria drug hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) a 'game changer' amid the corona virus epidemic, which has been rejected by the US agency. On Tuesday, America's top agency refused to use this malaria drug. Experts say that the Covid-19 epidemic has not been tested. In such a situation, its use without trial is not good.

Instructions not to use another medicine

In addition to HCQ, the use of another anti-biotic azithromycin has also been ruled out. Experts say that there is a possibility of toxicity in HCQ and azithromycin. In such a situation, its use is not right now. However, experts have also said that chloroquine, another version of HCQ, can be used. But at the same time doctors have also been asked to monitor its possible adverse effects. On Tuesday, a report on HCQ said that when this malaria drug was used in the US Veteran Affairs Hospital, it did not get any benefit, on the contrary some patients died. Researchers and experts have said that more data will be needed to prove its effectiveness in addition to the study.

Trump ordered medicine from India

Trump had said at the White House recently that if India did not lift the ban on export of malaria medicines, their country would take strong action. Trump spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the phone on Sunday and said that if India does not supply us with hydroxychlorin, it will get a similar answer from the US. He had said that India should supply the malaria drug hydroxychloroquine. India is the largest producer of the malaria drug hydrochloroquine. India has since lifted the ban on the export of this drug. It was said on behalf of India that it will start supplying medicines related to corona disease to the countries which are suffering badly from this epidemic.
