Delhi Gas Pipeline Leak Causes Fire

New Delhi, Jan 16 (IANS) A minor fire broke out here Friday due to leakage in a gas pipeline, an official said. No casualty has been reported yet.

Traffic was disrupted on the Ring Road for nearly two hours.

The fire was reported from south Delhi's Satya Niketan area, near Sri Venkateswara College in southwest Delhi.

"Around 10 fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the fire which was reported at 9.35 a.m.," a Delhi Fire Service official told IANS.

Three private cars parked near the pipeline were gutted, but no casualty was reported.

The fire was doused by 11.05 a.m.
