GSM subscribers in India up 8.87 mn in January

New Delhi, Feb 17 (IANS) The GSM subscribers in India increased by 8.87 million or 1.31 percent in January 2015 over the previous month, data from the Cellular Operators' Association of India (COAI) showed here Tuesday.

COAI is the GSM body in India.

All India GSM cellular subscriber figures as of January 2015 was 687.42 million.

Telecom service provider Bharti Airtel emerged as the operator with the highest subscriber base followed by Vodafone, Idea Cellular, Aircel, Uninor, Videocon and Uninor.
