A new government has been formed in Israel. The country's command is now in the hands of radical Naftali Bennett, replacing former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (71). Netanyahu's 12-year term came to an end. The special thing in the eight-party coalition government is that for the first time the Arab Muslim party Ram is also included in the government. Bennett is getting power in Israel at a time when the country is facing immense challenges. After all, what will be the big challenge before Bennett? What will be the impact on India-Israel relations?

49-year-old Naftali Bennett has been elected the new Prime Minister of Israel. Bennett was once considered very close to former Prime Minister Netanyahu

He was the Chief of Staff of Israel from 2006 to 2008. Elected for the first time in 2013 from the Radical Home Party. Till 2019, he was a minister in every coalition government.

Bennett has been advocating only for the Jewish state. Apart from being a politician, he is also a businessman. He is in favor of hanging the extremists. He was in favor of establishing ghettoes in the West Bank. He has refused to recognize Palestine as a separate state.

The new prime minister is Bennett Hitech Dhan Kuber. Left parties, centrist parties, and Arab Party are also partners in the government with them. Bennett has allied with Jair Lapid.

India-Israel relations will remain stable

Pro. Harsh Pant says that the friendship between India and Israel is very close. Both countries are suffering from terrorism and fundamentalism. Both India and Israel are fighting together on this front. In recent times the two countries have come closer to each other. The two countries are also strategic partners of each other in dealing with terrorism. There is also a defense and strategic relationship between the two countries. Israel supplies many types of arms and weapons to the Indian Army. Israel has a major share in the supply of arms.

He said that he had good relations with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his counterpart, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He said that both the countries have benefited from the personal ties of the two leaders. There is extensive cooperation between the two countries in the fields of water, agriculture, and innovation. The two countries are also partners in the strategic and strategic fields. Both the countries are cooperating mutually against the Covid-19 epidemic.

Pro. Pant says that the change in power in Israel will not affect relations with India. A major reason for this is cooperation and common interests between the two countries. Second, a big reason for this is that there will be no change in the foreign policy of the new Prime Minister Bennett. He will carry forward Netanyahu's strategy. It is clear from this that it is not going to have any effect on the relations between India and Israel.

Bennett's three big challenges

During the voting in the Israeli parliament, there is only one seat gap between the coalition government and the opposition. 60 MPs voted in favor of the government and 59 against it. In such a situation, running the House and the government will be a big challenge before Bennett. This alliance has only one seat more than the majority.

The 8-party coalition government will be headed by radical Naftali Bennett. They do not accept the ideology of the State of Palestine. In such a situation, handling the coalition religion and its interests will also be a big challenge.

Israeli politics has seen instability for many years. Four elections were held in two years, but no party got a majority. Bennett may have become prime minister and formed a coalition, but people are not very optimistic about his government. There is a reason for this that if there is a difference of opinion in the coalition on any issue, then a new election will be the only way.
