'India will be drug-free by 2047', Home Minister Shah said- 'We will leave no stone unturned in punishing smugglers'

Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday said that the Modi government is leaving no stone unturned to punish those drug smugglers who are pushing the youth into the dark pit of drugs for the greed of money.

 

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said in a post on X that the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to making India a drug-free country. The government will continue to fight the drug menace. An official release quoted Shah as saying that as a result of a thorough and thorough investigation conducted with strategy, courts have convicted 29 drug smugglers in 12 different cases across the country.

 

Efforts to make India drug-free

The statement said that this success is a testimony to the tough attitude adopted by the government. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has achieved this significant success under the Modi government's zero-tolerance policy against drugs. These convictions are an example of the NCB's dedication to ensuring successful prosecution in cases filed in the courts. The Home Ministry has said that under the guidance of Shah, the NCB is working tirelessly to realize the Prime Minister's dream of a drug-free India by 2047.

Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday inaugurated the Vidya Bhavan and Cultural Bhavan of a school trust at Pilvai village in Mehsana district of Gujarat and also participated in a religious ceremony. He inaugurated the Sundarlal Mangaldas Shah Cultural Bhavan and Anilchandra Gokaldas Shah Vidya Bhavan, built by the Seth Girdharlal Chunnilal High School Trust in memory of alumni.

 

The Home Minister also spoke to the students.

 

Home Minister Amit Shah then visited a classroom, computer lab, etc. at Vidya Bhavan and interacted with the students. He was then felicitated by the trust. The Home Minister, along with his son and International Cricket Council President Jay Shah and other relatives, also offered prayers at the Lord Govardhannathji temple in Pilvai. Shah and his family were present at the religious ceremony organized to install the idol of Lord Govardhannathji in the newly constructed temple.
