An advisory has also been issued by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation regarding the Republic Day parade on 26 January. It was told by the metro that at which stations parking will be closed, from which stations the movement of passengers will be stopped. At which station after the parade is over, the situation will return to normal. Apart from this, from which stations entry and exit will be banned at the time of Beating Retreat. Metro has given detailed information about this through its Twitter handle.
According to the information given by Delhi Metro, services on Yellow Line will be partially stopped on Wednesday i.e. 26 January (Republic Day). Entry and exit from stations like Central Secretariat, Udyog Bhawan will be closed from midnight in the night. It has been told that as per the instructions of Delhi Police, this is being done under the security arrangements for the Republic Day celebrations.
All metro parking lots will also remain closed from 06.00 am on January 25 to 2.00 pm on January 26, 2022. Keeping in mind the security arrangements, this step has also been taken under the instructions received by the Delhi Police.
Apart from this, on the occasion of Beating Retreat i.e. 29th January (Saturday), metro services will not be available at Yellow Line's Central Secretariat and Udyog Bhawan metro stations from 02.00 pm to 06.30 pm. However, interchange of passengers will be permitted at Central Secretariat Metro Station from Kashmere Gate to Raja Nahar Singh and vice versa during this period. Normal services will be restored at these stations at 6.30 pm.
