After India, now Russia also launched Lunar Mission Luna-25. Russia has sent its vehicle after 47 years. The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) congratulated the Russian Space Agency for this Chandrayaan mission to be launched on Friday. ISRO also wished that both Chandrayaan-3 and Luna-25 missions achieve their goals.
Congratulations to the Russian Space Agency
ISRO said our congratulations to Roscosmos on the successful launch of Luna-25. It's wonderful to have another rendezvous in our space journey. Best wishes to Chandrayaan-3 and Luna-25 missions for achieving their goals, he said. Let us tell you, Roscosmos is the Russian space agency.
Russia sent its vehicle after 47 years
Russian space agency Roscosmos has also confirmed the Luna-25 mission to be launched on Friday. Earlier, Roscosmos launched Luna-24 in the year 1976. Russia has sent its vehicle after 47 years. Luna 25 was launched from Vostony Cosmodrome of Amur Oblast, located about 5500 km east of Moscow. It is being said that before India's Chandrayaan-3, Russia's Luna-25 will step on the moon.
Russian lander will revolve around the moon for 7-10 days
According to Russian media, on Friday, August 11, at 4.40 am, the Luna-25 lander was launched from Russia's Vostoni Cosmodrome. Luna-25 was sent to the moon in a Soyuz 2.1B rocket. It has been named the Luna-Globe mission. The length of the rocket is about 46.3 meters, while its diameter is 10.3 meters. Russia's space agency Roscosmos says that Luna-25 has left for the moon. For five days it will move towards the moon. After this, the rocket weighing 313 tonnes will revolve around the moon for 7-10 days. It is expected that on 21 or 22 August it will reach the lunar surface.
NASA claimed to have found water
According to Russian media, Russia plans to land the lander on the south pole of the Moon. Experts say that there is a possibility of getting water on this pole of the moon. Let me tell you, in 2018, NASA said that there is water on the south pole of the moon. Luna-25 has a rover and a lander. Its lander is about 800 kg. Luna-25 will practice soft landing. The lander has a special device, which will dig six inches of the surface. Luna will collect 25 rock and soil samples. This could lead to the discovery of frozen water. The aim of Russia is that whenever humans make their base on the moon in the future, there should be no water problem for them.
Russia can land on the moon before Chandrayaan-3
It is expected that on 21 or 22 August it will reach the lunar surface. At the same time, Chandrayaan-3 was launched by India on 14 July, and will land on the moon on 23 August. The landing time of Luna-25 and Chandrayaan-3 will be almost the same. Luna will land on the lunar surface a few hours earlier. Russia had earlier landed Luna-24 on the moon in 1976. All the moon missions that have happened in the world so far have reached the moon's equator. But if Luna-25 is successful, it will be the first time that a country will land on the Moon's South Pole.
