""Pakistan, Huriyaat & Militants ALLOWED peaceful conduct of elections" says Mufti Syed. I guess we should be grateful for their generosity," tweeted Abdullah.
The former chief minister also posed questions to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which became part of the government in Jammu and Kashmir for the first time in a colaition with Sayeed's Peoples Democratic Party.
"Dear @BJP4India please explain roll of security forces & polling staff considering your CM just said "Pakistan allowed elections in J&K"," Abdullah added.
Within hours of taking oath as chief minister Sunday, Sayeed said: "There is Hurriyat, there are militants. If they had done something, it would not have been such an election, there would not have been such participation."
He also said that people from across the border also contributed to making the atmosphere conducive.
Sayeed also pitched for taking Hurriyat Conference and separatists on board in talks on the Kashmir problem.
"They have a view point," he said.
