New Delhi, Feb 19 (IANS) President Pranab Mukherjee Thursday condoled the death of film producer Daggubati Ramanaidu, saying the film industry has lost a creative personality who left an indelible mark on Indian cinema.
"I am saddened to learn about the passing away of Daggubati Ramanaidu," Mukherjee said in a condolence message to Daggubati's wife Rajeshwari.
"Ramanaidu was a parliamentarian and acclaimed film producer. His contribution to the Indian film industry, especially Telugu cinema, was recognised by the nation through the Dada Saheb Phalke Award in 2009 and the Padma Bhushan in 2012," he added.
