Ravi Shastri told the biggest difficulty of Team India, said - Sachin Tendulkar had that worm ... which is no longer in anyone, find such a thing

Team India's former cricketer and head coach Ravi Shastri believes that there is a shortage of such batsmen in Team India, who have the worm of batting as well as bowling. Talking about the biggest problem of Team India at present, Shastri said that earlier there were players like Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, and Suresh Raina, but in the last 3-4 years, Team India has missed such players. Shastri has been the head coach of Team India from 2017 to 2021 and has understood the team very closely.

Shastri said, “Earlier there were Sehwag, Sachin, Yuvraj, and Raina, but in the last three-four years there has been none. This has shaken the entire balance of the team. So in such a situation, it is good to see players like Deepak Hooda and Axar Patel. Who can bowl as well as a bat? When Shastri was asked why Team India has missed all-rounders in the recent past, he replied, "Better communication between the captain and the selectors can be made." Where the selectors are told that they want players in the top-6 who can also do four-five overs for the team. The captain should say that I want four-five such players and you should find such players at the domestic level and bring them.

Shastri further said, 'The thing is there are batsmen who also enjoy bowling. In whom there is also a worm to bowl. Like Tendulkar was that worm. When he used to bat, he used to say that I don't care, he used to take the ball, and then he used to throw different balls like leg spin, off spin. So it must be the worm. Ajay Jadeja used to do the same. There are 1.4 billion people in your country, and you are telling me that this worm is not in a batsman to even bowl. Wonderful!' While Axar Patel had led India to victory on the strength of his batting in the second ODI against the West Indies, Deepak Hooda has also impressed with his batting in the recent past.
