The Taliban has asked the Indian government to stop radicals from insulting Islam and inciting the sentiments of Muslims. Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said that an official of India's ruling party has used derogatory words about Prophet Mohammad. The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan strongly condemns this.
UN said - there should be respect and tolerance for all religions
The United Nations has also stated criticism from Islamic countries in this matter. UN Secretary Antonio Guterres's spokesman said- 'I have not heard that statement myself, but have seen the news about it. All I can say is that we encourage respect and tolerance for all religions.
14 countries criticized the statement
So far 14 countries have expressed their displeasure over Nupur Sharma's statement. These countries include Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bahrain, Maldives, Libya, and Indonesia. Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and other Arab countries have banned Indian products in their superstores.
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) of 57 Muslim countries has also condemned it. The organization posted on social media and said – In the past, cases of violence against Muslims have increased in India. In many states, restrictions are being imposed on Muslims in educational institutions with a ban on the hijab.
