14 countries criticized the statement
So far 14 countries have expressed their displeasure over Nupur Sharma's statement. These countries include Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bahrain, Maldives, Libya, and Indonesia. Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and other Arab countries have banned Indian products in their superstores.
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) of 57 Muslim countries has also condemned it. The organization posted on social media and said – In the past, cases of violence against Muslims have increased in India. In many states, restrictions are being imposed on Muslims in educational institutions with a ban on the hijab.

Pakistan's new Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif also condemned Nupur Sharma's statement, saying- 'I condemn in the strongest terms the painful statement of the BJP leader of India, which he made about our beloved Prophet Sahib.
