
Karnataka Police has filed an FIR against cricketer Virat Kohli's pub, One8 Commune in Bengaluru. The pub is located on the sixth floor of Ratnam Complex in Bengaluru.
Cubbon Park police have registered a case against Virat Kohli's One8 Commune pub and restaurant in Bengaluru for violating the COTPA Act (Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act).
Accused of violating rules
A case has been registered against the pub under sections 4 and 21 of the COTPA Act, as there is no no smoking zone in the restaurant. It is being told that the necessary rules regarding the smoking area were not being followed in the pub.
Under this act, strict rules were laid down for smoking in public places, and not following them is considered a legal offense.

One8 Commune has faced action earlier as well. An FIR was registered against it in June last year as well. The Greater Bangalore Municipal Corporation also issued a notice to the restaurant in December for not taking NOC from the fire department.
