Voting is going on for the Presidential elections in the Parliament and the Legislative Assembly of all the states of the country. On one hand, the NDA has shown its strength in this election, while the opposition camp has to face cross-voting. From Gujarat to UP, there has been a split between NCP, Congress, and SP. NCP MLA in Gujarat Kandhal S. Jadeja voted in favor of NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu, different from the party's stand. There were already apprehensions about him that he might take a different stand from the party. NCP had announced the support of Yashwant Sinha. Apart from this, NCP MLA from Jharkhand Kamlesh Singh also cast his vote in favor of Draupadi Murmu. After voting, he said that I have voted in favor of Draupadi Murmu on the voice of my conscience.

Not only this, Chhotubhai Vasava, the leader of the Bharatiya Tribal Party in Gujarat, has also voted for Draupadi Murmu. He said that I have voted for such a leader, who has worked for the progress of the poor. Akhilesh Yadav's Samajwadi Party has also faced a split in the presidential election. On one hand, Akhilesh Yadav's uncle and Praspa chief Shivpal Yadav has openly voted for Draupadi Murmu, while SP's own MLA Shahjeel Islam has also voted in favor of Draupadi Murmu. Party MLA from Bhojipura in Bareilly, Shahjeel Islam, was said to be angry with the party for some time.

Shivpal Yadav had already made it clear that he would not vote for such a person who had once called Mulayam Singh Yadav an ISI agent. Congress has also failed to prevent cross-voting in the presidential election. The party's MLA from Odisha, Mohammad Mukim, has also voted for the NDA's presidential candidate. Sources in the Odisha Congress say that Mukim himself was claiming to be made the state president. But for not doing so, he was angry with the party. In Jharkhand too, there is a possibility of cross-voting on behalf of Congress MLAs.

Kuldeep Bishnoi said - Vote cast on the voice of conscience

In Haryana too, Congress has to face cross-voting. Party MLA Kuldeep Bishnoi has voted in favor of Draupadi Murmu. After casting his vote, he said that I have voted by listening to the voice of my conscience. Earlier in the Rajya Sabha elections too, he had voted for a BJP-backed candidate instead of Congress.

UP votes have the highest value, no party can issue a whip

According to the rule, no party can issue a whip to vote in the presidential election. All MLAs and MPs have the right to vote for any candidate as per their wish. Although traditionally people vote based on their party line. In such a situation, cross-voting is seen as a setback for any party. Let us tell you that UP is the biggest factor in the presidential election. The state has 403 MLAs and the vote value of all of them is 208, which is more than any other state in the country.
