Imran Khan's government fell in Pakistan on the intervening night of 9 and 10 April. All the drama happened. If something came to the fore, there was a lot that was unsuccessfully tried to be buried. Some reports have claimed that on the night of 9 April, a helicopter landed on the lawn of Imran's house in Banigala. There were two important people in this. He met Imran in a separate room. asked to resign. Imran got enraged and came down on abusive words.
It is claimed that a man who was stunned by this disobedience received a forceful slap on Imran's cheek. After that things got in the way. Voting took place and the Imran government was sacked. However, let's try to understand this surprising case. Know what, why, and how happened that night.
How the 'slap scandal' came to the fore
Something strange happened on the night of 9 and 10 April in Imran's luxurious house (Banigala) spread over several acres. Its information was coming out in the form of Khusarpusar on the social media of Pakistan, then BBC Urdu gave some information in gestures. Three prominent Pakistani journalists Arzoo Kazmi, Salim Safi, and Asad Ali Toor cleared the picture to a great extent. The question arose that how did the injury mark come under Imran's left eye? Why was he seen wearing sunglasses everywhere for two days? When does smoke rise without fire? Therefore, on 14 April, the spokesperson of the army clarified this on the national media.
how did the talk start
According to Asad Ali Toor - It was decided that Imran does not have a majority and his government is bound to fall. Even then, Khan was neither ready to vote nor to resign. The order of the Supreme Court was also put on hold. Due to this the image of the army which made Imran the Prime Minister was getting tarnished. On the night of 9 April, at around 9 pm, he sent a message to Khan - Imran Khan sir, you resign.
Toor further says- that Imran instead of obeying the order of the army sent Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi with a message to Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa. It said – the Prime Minister is not ready to vote or resign. They want to dissolve the National Assembly and hold elections. The army rejected it strictly and said – the order of the Supreme Court will have to be followed. Things got worse from here.
Khan's move
A report has claimed that Imran wanted to sack General Bajwa and make former ISI chief and his special friend General Faiz Hameed the army chief. Bajwa and Imran's relationship deteriorated in October last year on the issue of removing Hameed from the ISI. Faiz is currently the Corps Commander of Peshawar. Salim Safi says – Imran called the Defense Secretary and got the notifications prepared for the dismissal of Bajwa and the appointment of Faiz Hameed as the new Army Chief. Only the notification number was left to be written on them.
Call intercept and game over
On the night of 9 April, Imran went out on the lawn to talk to someone on the phone. Army Intelligence intercepted this call. Here, the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker were trying all non-constitutional tricks to postpone the voting in the Parliament.
Around 11 pm, a helicopter took off from the Army Headquarters in Rawalpindi. It had ISI Chief Lt Gen Nadeem Anjum and Army Chief General Bajwa. This chopper landed on the lawn of Imran's house Banigala a few minutes later. Both the men went straight to the place where Imran was present along with his three close friends. ISI chief asks Imran to resign. Imran refused and got down on the verb. It is claimed that the argument escalated and in anger, ISI Chief Nadeem Anjum slapped Imran on the left cheek.
the picture was still
The ISI chief told Imran bluntly – we have come to know everything. Vote now or else the outcome will be very bad. Anjum and Bajwa informed Supreme Court Chief Justice Omar Atta Bandyal and Islamabad High Court's tough-tempered Chief Justice Athar Minallah about the matter. Both opened their respective courts at midnight. A lawyer filed a petition before Minallah seeking a stay on the dismissal of General Bajwa.
However, the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker resigned. Ayaz Sadiq of Nawaz Sharif's party sat on the speaker's chair. Voting took place and Imran became one of the former prime ministers.
Bad days have just begun
Pakistani journalists Aamna and Zafar Naqvi say – On April 10, at around 4 am, the army raided 4 luxurious houses in Islamabad. One of these houses belonged to Arslan Khalid, chief of the social media wing of Imran's party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). All mobiles, laptops, and digital diaries were confiscated from here. Imran's conspiracy was to defame the army through social media. So far, 12 people have been picked up by the army in this case. Intelligence Bureau chief and Imran's principal secretary Azam Khan has left the country. Few more people will be arrested in the coming days.
