Intelligence agencies have issued an alert for a terrorist attack in Punjab on New Year. According to sources, it has been told in the alert that at the behest of ISI, many terrorist organizations can get an attack done to spread terror in Punjab. There is also information that apart from the court complex, the DC office, SSP office, police stations, and government offices can be targeted. Following the input, security has been beefed up at major places in Punjab. More than 2000 jawans are deployed in the security of government offices.
The police force has also been ordered to be alert for 24 hours. A special blockade is being done during the night. Vehicles are being checked by blockade at every entry-exit point of Mohali district. According to intelligence information, a high alert has been issued in many districts of Punjab. After the terrorist alert, the Mohali police also geared up. No high police officer is ready to say anything in this regard. However, the district police have appealed to the public not to pay heed to rumors.

Security increased by dividing the entire district into 41 zones
Mohali has been divided into 41 zones and PCR patrolling is being done 24 hours in each zone after the information about the terrorist attack. Working on this plan the police, 28 new PCR vehicles have been included in the fleet on Wednesday. A total of 25 zones have been formed in Mohali city, six in Zirakpur, four in Kharar, two each in Mullanpur and Derabassi, and one each in Kurali and Nayagaon. In each zone, one PCR vehicle will be on the road at all times. Police will also be present on the National Highway passing through the city so that the fear of police remains intact among the criminals type of people.
