58 commandos protect Ambani: Commandos are armed with automatic weapons, apart from these, 20 private guards deployed from Israel

The Supreme Court on June 29 stayed the direction issued by the Tripura High Court to the Central Government in the matter of Z + security of the country's top businessman Mukesh Ambani.

 

A person named Vikas Saha had filed a PIL in the Tripura High Court against Ambani's Z+ Security. On this, the High Court, while summoning the reply from the Center, had sought the details of the threat assessment, based on which the security has been given to Ambani and his family. Angered by this, the central government approached the Supreme Court.

 

Earlier, the central government had said in the Supreme Court appeal that the security given to any family is not an issue of public interest and Ambani's security has nothing to do with Tripura.

 

58 CRPF commandos armed with machine guns that fire 800 rounds in a minute

 

According to reports, about 58 commandos of CRPF are deployed 24 hours a day for the security of Mukesh Ambani and his family. These armed soldiers, armed with automatic weapons, go with the Ambani family wherever they go.

 

These soldiers are equipped with many modern weapons including the Heckler & Koch MP5 sub-machine gun. The Heckler & Koch MP5 submachine gun is a German-made gun. With this, 800 rounds of bullets can be fired in a minute.

 

Every soldier involved in Ambani's security is an expert in martial arts and unarmed combat skills. The CRPF commando force deployed under Ambani's security includes armed guards, accompanying guards, a driver, a personal security officer (PSO), search team.

 

These commandos work in two shifts and they work under the supervision of an inspector-level officer of CRPF.

 

Ambani provides other facilities including accommodation and food to these commands. CRPF personnel keeps an eye on suspicious activities or persons around Ambani's house.

 

The entire area around his house is covered by high-resolution CCTV cameras. Armed security personnel is stationed at the gate, inside the building, and outside the house in parked vehicles.

 

Trend 20 personal guards from Israel, who can give security without weapons

 

Israeli commandos and soldiers kill the enemy unarmed. For this, he is trained in one of the most dangerous martial arts in the world - Krav Maga. For this reason, Israeli commandos are considered the best for VVIP security.

 

Apart from the CRPF, Mukesh Ambani also has around 15-20 personal security guards, who are without weapons, that is, unarmed. His guards have been trained by an Israel-based security firm.

 

These private security guards deployed to protect Ambani and his family are also a trend in Krav Maga. These guards work in two shifts, which also include soldiers of the Indian Army and NSG.

 

Ambani drives in a vehicle worth 2.5 crores, all the vehicles in the convoy are bulletproof

 

Mukesh Ambani drives in his bulletproof BMW or Mercedes car, while his security guards walk in a Range Rover.

 

Recently, he has included a Mercedes AMG G63 model worth Rs 2.5 crore in his convoy. Ambani currently drives in this car.

 

Ambani's convoy includes Mercedes, BMW, and Range Rover cars. His convoy includes 6-8 luxury vehicles, which cost around Rs 16 crore.

 

6-8 vehicles of CRPF and private security guards run in Ambani's convoy. Half of these vehicles run in front of Ambani's car, while the rest follow his car.

 

All the security personnel aboard these vehicles are connected through walkie-talkies.

 

Ambani himself bears the cost of Z + security

 

The Z+ security received by Mukesh Ambani and his family costs Rs 15-20 lakh every month. Ambani himself bears all these expenses.

 

Mukesh Ambani became the first person to bear the cost of his Z+ security on his own. In most cases, the cost of Z+ security is borne by the government.

 

This expenditure includes the salary of the security personnel deployed in their security, their deployment, and the expenses of the vehicles deployed in the security.

 

Apart from the security expenses, Ambani also has to provide barracks for the security personnel, which include their quarters, kitchen, and toilets.

 

Apart from the Z + security provided to Ambani and his family, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) also handles the security of the Jamnagar refinery of his company Reliance Industries.

 

According to reports, Reliance pays Rs 34 lakh every month to the CISF for this.

 

In 2020, the Supreme Court had dismissed the petition related to Ambani's security

 

This is not the first time that a petition has been filed in the Supreme Court regarding Mukesh Ambani's Z + security. Earlier in November 2020, the Supreme Court had dismissed a petition seeking withdrawal of Z+ security granted to Mukesh Ambani and his family.

 

Mukesh Ambani is the first businessman in the country to get Z category security

 

Mukesh Ambani and his family were given Z category security in 2013. This was later changed to Z+. Ambani was given this protection after intelligence agencies feared the threat of a terrorist attack on him.

 

The UPA government had decided to give Z security in 2013 after Ambani received threats from the terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen.
