The biggest selection call is the omission of Scott Boland, with the Australian team management opting for Josh Hazlewood in the pace attack.

Hazlewood's inclusion means Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Hazlewood will feature together for the first time in more than a year, giving Australia a formidable fast-bowling combination.

Veteran spinner Nathan Lyon has also returned to the playing XI after missing the Ashes due to a hamstring injury.
