Australia have announced their playing XI for the first Test against Bangladesh, with the match set to begin in Darwin on Thursday. The Test will mark Australia's return to Darwin after two decades and their first Test match in eight months.
Hazlewood Comes In, Boland Misses Out
The biggest selection call is the omission of Scott Boland, with the Australian team management opting for Josh Hazlewood in the pace attack.
Hazlewood's inclusion means Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Hazlewood will feature together for the first time in more than a year, giving Australia a formidable fast-bowling combination.
Nathan Lyon Returns to Australia XI
Veteran spinner Nathan Lyon has also returned to the playing XI after missing the Ashes due to a hamstring injury.
Australia have also selected two batting all-rounders, with Cameron Green and Beau Webster both included in the side.
