8 opposition MPs of Rajya Sabha suspended for a week from the session; Mamta said - Government is dictating, will protest from Parliament to the street

Rajya Sabha Speaker Venkaiah Naidu on Monday suspended 8 opposition MPs from the proceedings of the House for a week. On Sunday, two bills related to agriculture were passed in the House. During the discussion, opposition MPs shouted slogans in the well, trying to get the vice-chairman Harivansh's mike out.

The MPs who were suspended include Derek O'Brien, Rajiv Satav, Sanjay Singh, KK Rajesh, Ripun Bora, Dola Sen, Syed Nazir Hussain, and Ilamaran Karim. They are all accused of behaving unparliamentarily with the Deputy Chairman.

Bhubaneshwar Kalita, present on the posture, requested the suspended MPs to leave the House. He said that suspended MPs can make their point according to the rules, but this has never happened before in the House. The house was adjourned till 9 pm due to the uproar.

Demand for action on deputy chairman dismissed

Chairman Venkaiah rejected the demand for action on Deputy Chairman Harivansh. On Sunday, 12 opposition parties gave notice of a no-confidence motion against Harivansh when the demand for a debate on the agriculture minister's reply was rejected. Venkaiah said that what happened in the Rajya Sabha yesterday cannot be called good. Some MPs shouted slogans in Vail. The Deputy Chairman was threatened. His work was hindered. This is unfortunate. I suggest that the MPs who have taken action should look into themselves.

Mamta expressed protest

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee tweeted, "It is unfortunate to have 8 MPs suspended. This shows the dictatorial attitude of the government. This also shows that the government does not believe in democratic values. We will continue to fight against the fascist government in Parliament and on the street. "

Updates ...

BJP MP Roopa Ganguly sat on a dharna in Parliament over the issue of drugs and other issues in the film industry. He says that the Mumbai film industry kills people, makes them drug addicts, and insults women. Still, the Mumbai Police remains silent.

The Shiromani Akali Dal leader will meet President Ram Nath Kovind at 4.30 pm today on the issue of farmer bills. Akali Dal leader Harsimrat Kaur resigned from the Modi cabinet last week to protest against these bills.

Record made in Lok Sabha

The debate on important matters related to the public interest in the Lok Sabha (Matters of Argentine Public Importance) or Zero Hour lasted till midnight for the first time. Many MPs and officials from the Lok Sabha Secretariat said that this happened for the first time after the Lok Sabha was formed on 17 April 1952. The Lok Sabha proceedings began at 3 pm on Sunday. After Question Hour (Question Hour), Zero Hour started at 10.30 pm, which lasted till 12.34 pm. In Zero Hour, MPs do not have to pre-empt questions for debate.

Bill passed ... but Parliament failed

The opposition in the Rajya Sabha crossed all limits on Sunday against the farmer bills. An uproar ensued over extending the time of the first Speaker's House. Opposition members started creating uproar in Vail. After the completion of the reply of Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, when the process of passing the bill started, the opposition started demanding to vote.

Marshall had to be called due to the uproar

When the Deputy Speaker Harivansh was not ready for the split, Trinamool MP Derek O'Brien tore the rulebook of the House and tried to break the Deputy Speaker's mic. Congress MP Ripun Bora, AAP MP Sanjay Singh, and DMK MP Tiruchi Siva were also seen trying to break the mic. Due to this, marshals were called and the proceedings of the house stayed for 15 minutes.

When the proceedings started again, there was a ruckus, then the speaker passed the bill by voice. There was also a meeting at the residence of Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu regarding the uproar in the Rajya Sabha. On Sunday evening, six big ministers including Defense Minister Rajnath held a press conference and said that what happened in Rajya Sabha was shameful.
